    COMING TOGETHER back to top 
    Known as the “Coming Together” class, this group is made up of a lively congregation of young adults. You can expect to grow in the Lord, be blessed and experience the joy of the Lord each week in this class.

    The teaching ranges from Bible study to informal group discussion. The format may change on any given day, with the leading of the Holy Spirit. The emphasis of the teaching is to enrich our lives through practical application of the Word of God to the myriad of challenges that we face on a daily basis. The knowledge we receive through the teaching of the Word empowers us to walk victoriously in all areas of our lives.

    This class is a literal “Coming Together” of young adults of all backgrounds and walks of life. The desire to know God on a more intimate level is the mighty thread that binds us together as one. There is an environment of love and acceptance where everyone’s differences are enjoyed. People are given the opportunity to develop confidence in themselves through the freedom to be who they are. Through the combination of humorous discussions and serious sharing from the heart, people are drawn together in love, with a closer walk with the Lord, and life-long friendships are established.

    Louis and Sherri Kemp are the leaders of this class. Their love for the Lord and the purity in their desire to serve and grow in Him is an inspiration to all who know them.

    They are excellent counselors and teachers, drawing from a wealth of life experiences and knowledge of God’s Word. Being people of prayer, they are empowered by God to share with you the wisdom of God.

     
    EXTREME LIFE TEENS back to top 
    A vital part of the body of Family Life is the teen group led by Andrea and Amy Backer. Adolescence is a tough time for many, and it is wonderful to have a network of friends who love the Lord, a group of friends who support each other, who encourage each other in the Word, and a group to fellowship and “grow up” with. Extreme Life Teens meet every Wednesday night at 7 p.m. They also keep busy with additional activities such as Christian concerts, church lock-ins, pizza parties and fellowship. All area teens are invited to join us and meet new friends, have some fun and change your life!

    Captain Andrea & Captain Amy F.O.R.C.E. Focused on Radical Children’s Evangelism! We are dedicated to making church fun for children (ages 6-12), while at the same time developing strong Christians. Children are not the church of tomorrow, they are the church of today! They are fired up and radically serving Jesus! Captain Andrea & Captain Amy lead the blue and red squads. These special forces are learning to live by faith and to tell the world about Jesus. Their assignment: - Mark 9:23. With the use of high energy praise and worship, contemporary music, puppets, exciting Bible stories, games and more

     
    KIDZONE - Sunday Morning back to top 
    Kidzone,directed by Diane Dietz, is an extraordinary children’s ministry for kids — birth through kindergarten. Family Life Church members join together to uplift children both within the church body and abroad. Through the Kidzone program each Sunday, children are taught about the Word of God through music, group activities and special plays and programs. In Kidzone, you will find a lively atmosphere combined with a faith-filled curriculum that produces strong, enthusiastic children. We know that by reaching our children, we are impacting the future of our society and the world — one kid at a time!

    Helen Stowe, director of the younger Wednesday night KIDZONE, and Cheryl Bostick, who directs the 8-12-year-olds, are dedicated to teaching children about God’s love for them and about the importance of having a personal relationship with Him. They believe it is very important to teach children to fully rely on God at a young age and that this seed sown within them will continue to grow for a lifetime.

    Wednesday night Kidzone features Bible study, scripture and books of the Bible memorization incorporated with many fun games and activities. All children are welcome to come and make new friends and learn more about Jesus and the wonderful plan He has for each of our lives!

     
    KINGDOM NOW back to top 
    Vernon Smith is teacher of Kingdom Now adult class. Although this class is made up of mostly older adults - some who have been Christians for many years, it is a group of “on fire” believers, who are still eager to hear the Word of God taught in a new and exciting way...to enjoy God's Kingdom now!

    From Vernon's knowledge of the Word, Holy Spirit wisdom and sense of humor, plus his insightful research, the participants learn to apply the Bible to their everyday lives. making this class unique and inviting. Vernon says he learns right along with his class.

    Anyone wanting to learn more about the Word of God and to know God Himself in a more intimate way will feel comfortable in the Kingdom Now class.

     
    OPERATION BACKPACK back to top 
    In an effort to help get kids excited about returning to the classroom, Family Life Church annually host a day of splish-splash fun topped off with a backpack give-away for all the children in attendance. This special annual event is held on the Family Life Church grounds, 905 E. Cloud Street, in Gainesville, and is open to the community. It’s all about the children, and more than 1,000 backpacks filled with school supplies have been given to kids in Kindergarten through 6th grade enrolled in school from 2005-2009. Family Life Church loves seeing the effect that it is having on our community and how it increases every year.

    WINNING WIDOW WOMEN back to top 
    Sharon Prestage is the director of the “WINNING WIDOW WOMEN.” This is a group of widows of all ages whose goals are to reach out to the community and give of themselves in a way that honors the Lord. These ladies sew, crochet and purchase baby blankets and other infant items to present to the Title V staff of the Gainesville Memorial Hospital. The items are then given to women who are giving birth and are not eligible for Medicaid and have no insurance or adequate income to help with their healthcare needs.

    The fellowship and outreach of this group of ladies is a great asset to Family Life Church. They are studying about the “Winning Women” of the Bible. Come join the WINNING WIDOWS on the third Saturday of each month at 3:30 p.m.
